the canon
& character index.
This is a compilation of the species of humanoids you can make and what characters have been made within those species. The qualities specified under each species must be read and followed. While this seems harsh, it's to insure that there are no disputes between what species can and cannot do and so there is consistency within the species.
HUMANS.
- Have no supernatural ability or powers.
- Are mortal. Which basically means #YOLO, and for a normal lifespan.
- Make up the majority of the world's population and have more rights and get paid more at a job than other species.
- Can volunteer to be a blood donor to vampires.
Humans:
Scarlett McAllister (Hedgie)

VAMPIRES.
- Must drink blood in order to survive. They can eat/taste other food, but it has no nutritional value for them. It is illegal to kill a human, of course, but brave volunteers who wear special necklaces can be asked permission to drink from.
- Cannot go out during the day without taking a special pill supplied by the government which prevents them from harm. Failure to take this pill results in death. So do not forget.
- Does not have to sleep in a coffin, but they do sleep.
- Can be killed by a wooden stake, special bullets or pure sunlight. Windows are standard to block the part of light that kills the vampires.
- Are immortal, though the average life span of vampires. including unnatural deaths, is around 170. During that time, they age very, very slowly, and the average born vampire will look around 34-35 when they hit age 100.

SHAPESHIFTERS.
- Also called werewolves/were-othercreatures. This includes all creatures who have the ability to change into an alternate form or to drastically, but still naturally change outside appearance and still remain humanoid.
- Usually, the subspecies are referred to by alternatform-shifter. (i.e. wolf-shifter, tiger-shifter, pig-shifter, etc.)
- The 'shift' between the human form and alternate form is not instant and painless. While voluntary, it takes around 10 minutes for a shift to fully occur, and the process is very painful.
- Fun Fact: The 'full moon' legend was based off of a division during the First Interspecies War called 'The Pack'. All of the soldiers within this division were wolf-shifters, and were known for making attacks in the light of the full moon.

Shapeshifters:

GIFTED.
- Also called 'mutants', 'supers', etc. 'Gifted' is the politically correct term.
- Have up to two related powers, usually one major and one minor. For example, there is no gifted that can control the weather and lift things with their mind. No. Related powers are like reading minds and controlling minds, being able to create fire and control fire, etc.
- Are mortal with a normal human lifespan.
- Are widely considered 'the closest species to humans', followed closely by witches/wizards, a subspecies of magicians.

Gifteds:
Charlie King (Hedgie)
Charlotte Andrews (Dani)
Character's Name (Played by)
MAGICIANS.
- Also called 'mystical' or 'fairytale' creatures. The stage-performing magicians who are human are now generally referred to as 'illusionists', to make the distinction clear.
- Refers to any being capable of 'magic', or any 'magical' creature. Witches, elves, dryads, nymphs, sirens, faeries, etc.
- There has been debate over many years as to whether or not witches/wizards are just multitalented gifted, but ask any witch or wizard what species they are, and they'll say magician.
- Mortality depends on the subspecies.
Magicians:

DEITIES.
- Referring to the fallen angels and risen demons that live on the Earth.
- Most controversial of the species, as many who are of a different religion doubt their existence and label them as other species.
- In the past, they have been statistically the least likely to reveal their species.
- Are immortal, though they usually die and are reborn with some memory of their past life.
- Most rare apart from the individual species within the Misc.
Deities:
Gabrielle Carter (Sully)
Character's Name (Played by)
MISCELLANEOUS.
- Often referred to as "The Misc."
- Made up of all species that do not fall under the category of human, vampire, gifted, shapeshifter, magician, or deity. Most of the species in this category are unique to one-one hundred beings worldwide.
- Also made up of interspecies children.
